rchitecture and climate are closely interconnected. History historians have always known that for the well-being of their inhabitants, not only with themselves, but also with the climatic and geographic context. In fact, climate and localization are so important in architecture that construction, regardless of these, is doomed to failure, and this is something that has been forgotten for some time over the years after the industrial revolution and with great speed. And its result was nothing but the frustration of the nations; therefore, over the past few years, with the destruction of the environment and the reduction of fossil fuels and undesirable environmental conditions for humans, the importance of this issue has been raised once again in the world and once again the localization approaches The criterion for building construction is the whole world.
Due to the diversity of the climate in the vast territory of Iran, the necessity of recognizing and providing solutions to promote sustainable architecture seems indispensable in terms of localization and coherence with nature. In this article, considering the climate of the province of Gilan as a mild and humid climate, the principles and rules of the traditional native architecture of this climate have been analyzed. Rural architecture of Guilan has been considered less impressive, despite its amazing structure. This architecture has a monolithic feature, the most important of which is the entirely structured structure. Some scholars believe that the civilization of the wood is like a silk road that runs from the far east and ends in the United States, and Gilan also has many points in this direction, partly due to the nature of its wooden structures and its capabilities, and the other part The reason for livelihood is the same and the conditions are similar to the climatic and natural conditions of these areas. These similarities have led researchers to name these cultural areas called “civilization of wood”.
